How Much?

MyLLC.com charges a fee of $99.00 + state fees to start an LLC online — and, according to their guarantee, they will match any competitor’s price. The lowest price we found for LLC formation was from IncFile.com, which charges $49 + state fees to start an LLC online.

What You Get

We’re not 100 percent sure what’s in MyLLC.com’s basic package, but based on the available add-on features, we can see what is not included in this price. If you choose, you can add Registered Agent Service for $99/year, add a Corporate Kit for $69, get a Texas Certificate of Good Standing for a Limited Liability Company for $35 + state fee, and obtain a Federal EIN Number for $69.00. It looks like shipping is not included, either — you can select Domestic 2-Day Shipping for $24.00, or Overnight for $34.00.

How Fast?

As mentioned above, you may choose 2-day or overnight shipping. When writing this MyLLC.com review, we could not determine the total wait time to expect your completed LLC information.

Bonus Features

We like MyLLC.com’s “Corporation Calculator” feature, which lets you calculate how much you could save in taxes if you form an S-Corporation and pay yourself a salary and dividend, as opposed to forming a Sole Proprietorship and paying yourself a salary only. The Frequently Asked Questions segment of the website is also very helpful, with lots of useful information.

The Trust Factor

On the MyLLC.com website’s About Us page, MyLLC.com is cited as the author of Limited Liability Companies for DummiesTM. The company’s Founder, Jennifer Reuting, wrote the book — and her professional authorship does give a degree of validity and authority to the company. In addition, MyLLC.com was founded in 1998, bringing a long history in the LLC space. Based in California, the company places an emphasis on helping filmmakers form LLCs — so if you’re a filmmaker, they might be an especially good fit.

Customer Service

You can contact customer service by phone, email or live chat. MyLLC.com has been a Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accredited Business since 2009, and has an A+ rating. At the time of this MyLLC.com review, we found seven positive MyLLC.com reviews on the BBB website and six complaints, five of which had been resolved to the complainant’s satisfaction. In each case, the business did address the issue, which shows the company’s customer service is responsive.

The Big Picture

MyLLC.com appears to be a professional and capable company, and their pricing is reasonable. However, it does not look like their basic package includes many features — and unlike some competitors, we did not see multiple packages, with savings when you add on several features (such as a Basic Package, Silver Package and Platinum Package). Because of this, we did not rank MyLLC.com as a top choice to start an LLC online.
