What You Get

If you upgrade to a Standard Package, you get the items mentioned above, plus an Operating Agreement, Member Transfer Ledger, Member Certificates, and Annual Report Service. The $199 deluxe Service also includes a year of Registered Agent service. Finally, the $299 Premium package ads on “MaintainMyBiz” service. Interestingly, when writing this MyCorporation review, we noticed that none of the premium packages include Employer Identification Number (EIN) obtainment, Customized Operating Agreement, or an Elite LLC Member Kit —items are often included in other companies’ top packages. You can, however, add them on for additional fees.

How Fast?

The home page advertising banner for MyCorporation states, “Start a Business in 10 Minutes.” However, we delivery times were not spelled out in the LLC Filing packages. After noticing the words “Rush delivery available at checkout,” we went through the order process to determine speeds. Some users may not feel comfortable submitting personal information like a full name, email address, home address, phone number, business name, and more — but John Smith didn’t mind. MyCorporation offers Rush filing fees for $100 over the standard fees, which they say may save you up to 85% of the standard filing turnaround time. This ensures your documents are hand delivered to the Secretary of State’s Office for immediate filing. After clicking “No” to paid upgrades about five more times, and scrolling to the bottom of the form, we found that it costs $39 to overnight the initial documents, and another $39 to overnight the final package. Our final answer to the “How Fast” question? It’s not clear how long it will take to start an LLC online with MyCorporation.

Bonus Features

In writing this MyCorporation review, we found that all packages include online accounting with Paychex, a free domain name, free logo design, and free web-based CRM solution for Small Business. While the quality of a free logo design may be questionable, it’s tough to argue with free. We also noticed that payroll services are offered for as low as $54.00/month for single member LLCs, or $54.00 per pay cycle for multi-owner employees. This sounds like a good value, if the services are well delivered.

The Trust Factor

TrustPilot, a third-party review company, gives MyCorporation 9.2 out of 10 stars, based on 101 MyCorporation reviews. That’s a pretty high score. According to the MyCorporation website, the company has been around for more than 15 years. It also has 8,946 Facebook “likes” and a 4.9 star rating based on 8 MyCorporation reviews. These are all good indicators of trust.

The Big Picture

MyCorporation offers many services, and provides lots of free information online. They also have good customer reviews, and competitive pricing. However, you may pay more to get all the services you need. In addition, delivery times were not clearly provided before navigating through the checkout process. Furthermore, if you do decide to place an order, be prepared for a heavy-duty upsell, with lots of checkboxes. All in all, we feel that IncFile, our top choice to start an LLC online, is a better value.
