How Much Is CorpNet?
Want to start an LLC online? With CorpNet, it will cost you $79 + state fees. That’s not a bad price, especially considering that it comes with Free Registered Agent service for one full year. Our review will cover the basics of the company’s service, pricing and features.
What You Get
CorpNet’s Basic $79 Package includes Name Availability Check, Document Submission and Filing, Official Filed Articles of Organization, Free Registered Agent Service for one year, and B.I.Z., a corporate compliance tool. The Deluxe Package costs $199, and includes all of these features, plus a Company Banking Resolution, Indemnification Clause, Federal Tax ID Number (EIN) Service, and a template for LLC operating agreements and minutes. Even more features are included in the $249 Complete Package.
How Fast Is CorpNet?
When researching timing for this CorpNet review, we found the question of time a bit confusing to answer. It looks like you can choose Standard Processing, which takes 15-20 business days to deliver documents to your door, or Express Processing, which provides same-day processing on business days, and delivers documents in 7-10 business days. Oddly, we didn’t see a price difference noted in the website’s price chart next to the “express” checkbox.
However, we did see the Basic Package Total at the bottom change from $418.00 (including Texas State Filing Fees) to $533.00 when we clicked it. We also noticed that a $29 Shipping and Handling Fee applies to all packages. While this is a fair price for multiple shipments, we felt like it should have been included in the base cost of each package, since it is not an optional fee.
Like many LLC websites, CorpNet offers a number of resources, articles and information to help you start an LLC online. You can download a free Incorporation Guide to learn more, or use their helpful Business Structure Wizard to assist in deciding which business structure will work best for you.
The Trust Factor
CorpNet has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau, which is a good measure of trust. The company has been around since 2009, which is not an incredibly long time — but in that span, it has served over 100,000 customers. That’s quite a lot. More importantly, reviews indicate that its customers are mostly satisfied. You can read their reviews, on their website, and on TrustPilot. At the time of this writing, TrustPilot showed 180 reviews, with an Excellent rating of 9.6, on a scale of 0-10. Not bad at all!
CorpNet provides customer service by phone or email, and advertises a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee on its website.
The Big Picture
Strong reviews from a third-party site, decent pricing, and a large customer base all weighed strongly in our ranking. We were a bit concerned about the seemingly hidden shipping fees — but any savvy buyer could easily add up these costs before making a purchase decision. In all, we find CorpNet to be a strong choice for those who wish to start an LLC online.
